Flamenco, rumba and fresh talent in a magical night of contrasts
Starlite Occident 2025 surrendered last night to the artistry of Siempre Así and the fresh debut of Hey Kid, in a show that combined tradition, celebration and the energy of new generations. The festival once again reaffirmed its essence as an intergenerational meeting point, where timeless classics and emerging voices share the stage under Marbella’s starlit sky.

For the eighth time at the festival, Siempre Así celebrated three decades of music with a performance that turned the Auditorium into a flamenco fair. Led by Rafa Almarcha, the Sevillian group delivered their signature rumba with anthems like “Para volver a volver”, “Se me va”, “Esa mujer” and “Te estoy queriendo tanto”. They also paid tribute to María Jiménez and Rafa Serna, and moved the audience with heartfelt renditions such as “A mi manera”. Handclaps, smiles and complicity transformed the concert into a journey through more than thirty years of music.
“This is the eighth year we perform on this stage, and for us it’s a must. We come here to give it all and to have a great time,” they said, showing their deep connection with Starlite Occident.
After this explosion of joy, the night continued at Sessions with the debut of Hey Kid, presenting his A Nuevos Lugares tour. With his blend of intimate and energetic indie-pop, the Barcelona-born Santi won over the quarry with songs like “Noche de San Juan”, “Será por ti”, “Lo que haga falta” and “Donde estés tú”. His warmth and freshness on stage made his performance one of this edition’s revelations.
Among the attendees were Victoria de Marichalar, Anne Igartiburu, Ana Brito, Marisa Jara and Ramón Calderón, who enjoyed this magical evening beneath Marbella’s stars.
Starlite Occident 2025 once again shone as the world’s leading boutique festival, where tradition blends with innovation in a truly unique atmosphere.
