On Wednesday, August 26th, Starlite Occident Marbella will welcome the legendary Nile Rodgers & CHIC back to their stage.
Nile Rodgers is an undisputed icon of contemporary music and one of the most influential and trend setting artists of the past few decades. As a composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist, his unmistakable groove has shaped entire generations and defined the sound of modern music.
Inducted into both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and honored with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Rodgers is also co-founder of the group CHIC, the band with which he redefined pop, disco, and dance with iconic anthems such as “Le Freak” — the biggest-selling single in the history of Atlantic Records — and “Good Times,” a key track in the birth of hip-hop.
His talent as a producer has shaped the careers of such superstars as David Bowie (“Let’s Dance”), Madonna (“Like a Virgin”), and Duran Duran (“The Reflex”), accumulating more than 600 million albums and 100 million singles sold worldwide.
