A night of rancheras, ballads and celebration that turned Marbella into a piece of Mexico
Alejandro Fernández returned last night to Starlite Occident 2025 with a historic sold-out show, proving once again why he is one of Latin music’s greatest icons. “El Potrillo” delivered a journey through more than three decades of hits, accompanied by mariachis, evocative visuals and a stage production that transported the audience straight to his homeland in Mexico.

The evening began with “Que seas muy feliz” and the promise of celebrating “the best music in the world: Mexican music”. From there, the setlist unfolded with anthems such as “Estos celos”, “Estuve” and “Te voy a perder”. One of the most emotional moments came with “Lástima que seas ajena”, a heartfelt tribute to his father, the legendary Vicente Fernández, followed by moving renditions of “Tantita pena” and “Abrázame”.
The Auditorium, decorated with Mexican flags and sombreros, also came alive with Fernández’s pop and ranchera classics like “Me dediqué a perderte”, “Caballero” and “Como quien pierde una estrella”. With his unmistakable voice and warm presence, Alejandro Fernández reaffirmed his status as one of the most beloved and universal artists in Spanish-language music.
Among the attendees were personalities such as Victoria de Marichalar, Anne Igartiburu, Carmen Lomana, Manuel Díaz “El Cordobés” and Virginia Troconis, María del Monte, Marisa Jara, Antonio José and Mexican footballer Memo Ochoa, all enjoying an unforgettable night under Marbella’s stars.
The night carried on with PerreoLab, an after party filled with reggaeton and top hits, featuring a special appearance by Henry Méndez, who brought the perfect ending to a day of rhythm and celebration.
Starlite Occident 2025 once again proved why it is the world’s leading boutique festival, blending Mexican tradition, heartfelt music and unforgettable parties in a unique setting.
