A magical night of rebellious classics, cinematic birthdays and electronic beats
On August 7, 2024, Starlite Occident experienced one of its most memorable nights with a performance by Hauser, Paula Echevarría’s birthday celebration and an explosive set by Juan Magán, all under the stars at La Cantera.
Hauser, the Croatian cello genius, returned to the Auditorium with his world tour “Rebel with a Cello”, proving that classical music can be spectacular, fun and approachable. Backed by an exceptional orchestra of strings, wind and percussion, he reimagined everything from “Pirates of the Caribbean” to “Despacito”, “La isla bonita”, “Game of Thrones”, “Volare”, “Waka Waka” and “Highway to Hell”, captivating the audience with charisma and flair.

“I’m so happy to perform at Starlite Occident tonight. I’m truly excited and grateful to be part of this amazing lineup of artists,” he shared. His passion for breaking stereotypes and pushing the cello across genres won over every attendee.
The night also celebrated Paula Echevarría, who chose the festival to mark her 47th birthday. Surrounded by family, friends and celebrities like Marta Carriedo, Poty Castillo, Fernando Sanz and Enrique Riquelme, she enjoyed a magical evening of haute cuisine and unforgettable moments.
One of the night’s surprises took place on the Sessions stage, when Juan Magán invited her to join him on stage to sing “Si no te quisiera”. The crowd erupted, singing “Happy Birthday” to the beloved actress as the dance floor pulsed with Magán’s signature electro-Latin beats.
Hauser, Paula Echevarría and Juan Magán turned Starlite Occident 2024 into an unforgettable celebration, where music, joy and human connection lit up the night.
