Jamie Cullum kicks off Starlite Occident 2024 in grand style

A dazzling night of jazz, pop and family celebration

Starlite Occident launched its 13th edition with an unforgettable evening led by Jamie Cullum, who inaugurated the new Auditorium stage, the largest in Spain and among the most spectacular in the world. A world-class start for the world’s leading boutique festival.

Every time I come here I feel like I’ve landed in a sparkling paradise with champagne everywhere. I couldn’t be happier to be here,” said the British artist to a thrilled crowd that connected with him from the very first chord.

With his unstoppable energy and brilliant fusion of jazz, pop and rock, Cullum once again captivated La Cantera with a performance full of talent, charisma and passion. He even jumped off the stage to sing among the audience, creating one of the most emotional highlights of the night.

The evening held extra meaning for the artist, as his parents celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in the audience. A touching nod to family and the personal connections that make Starlite Occident truly unique.

Songs like “Get your way”, “Age of anxiety”, “Love for sale” and “The man”, along with covers like “Everybody wants to be a cat”, “Don’t stop the music” and “Uptown funk”, lit up the Auditorium, kicking off the season in spectacular fashion.

After the concert, the celebration moved to the Sessions stage with the season’s first big after party, headlined by Juan Magán. With digital screens, immersive sound and a futuristic atmosphere, the DJ kept the crowd dancing with hits like “Bailando por ahí”, “Por fin te encontré” and “Verano azul”.

Starlite Occident 2024 kicks off a season of more than 60 concerts, 300 shows in Sessions, five signature restaurants and an unprecedented commitment to innovation and sensory experience.
