20th anniversary of “Hopes and Fears” in a magical night
Keane made their debut at Starlite Occident to celebrate two decades of their iconic album “Hopes and Fears”, in one of the most moving nights of the 2024 summer season. The British quartet, led by Tom Chaplin, thrilled a packed Auditorium that sang along to every anthem.
“Tonight has been an incredible surprise. Traveling to southern Spain and playing in this amphitheater is beautiful. Thank you, Starlite Occident, for a magical night. We promise we won’t take another 20 years to come back,” said Chaplin to a devoted crowd.

The concert was an emotional journey through the album that launched them to stardom in 2004, with anthems like “Somewhere Only We Know”, “Everybody’s Changing”, “This Is the Last Time” and “We Might As Well Be Strangers” echoing through the stunning natural venue.
They also performed songs from other stages of their career, including “Nothing in My Way”, “Is It Any Wonder?”, “Perfect Symmetry” and “Silenced by the Night”, showcasing a musical evolution that reaffirmed their place as one of Britain’s most beloved pop bands.
The audience, fully engaged, sang every word and celebrated Spain’s football win, with Chaplin joking: “Hope to see you in the final! Don’t be sad if you lose to England on penalties.”
From the presidential box, Jim, Andrea and Caroline Corr of The Corrs, as well as Hubertus Von Hohenlohe, Simona Gandolfi, Sergio Scariolo, Blanca Ares and Marta Martínez-Bordiú, enjoyed the show from privileged seats.
After the concert, the party continued at Sessions, where music and technology created an electrifying open-air sensory experience, under the starry Marbella sky.
Starlite Occident 2024 once again proved why it is the world’s leading boutique festival, welcoming artists that transcend genres and generations in an unparalleled setting.
