Maldita Nerea and 84 bring pop energy and good vibes to Starlite Occident

A night of sing-along anthems, shared emotions and musical premieres

The most pop-filled night of the summer came to life at Starlite Occident with concerts by Maldita Nerea and 84, who won over the audience with their authenticity, charm and uplifting lyrics. Two generations of Spanish pop found the perfect stage in Marbella’s quarry to celebrate feel-good music.

Maldita Nerea, with over 20 years of career and a loyal fanbase known as “the turtles”, performed tracks from their latest album “Manual para seres maravillosos”, along with crowd favorites like “El secreto de las tortugas”, “Bailarina”, “Por el miedo a equivocarnos” and “En el mundo genial de las cosas que dices”.

Lead singer Jorge Ruiz captivated the audience from the very start, leading an emotional journey filled with profound lyrics, catchy melodies and a life philosophy grounded in authenticity and love. “Thank you Marbella, thank you Starlite Occident. This crowd singing along is amazing. We need more places like this and people like you: with less fear“, he expressed.

The night continued at the Sessions stage with Madrid-based trio 84, who gave a preview of their upcoming album “Bonita resaca”, while revisiting fan favorites like “Historias del arte”, “El burdel de las sirenas” and “Flor de primavera”. Their laid-back pop-rock sound and sincere lyrics resonated deeply with the crowd.

It’s such a pleasure to be back here. The venue, the sound, the atmosphere… Starlite Occident is one of the most beautiful places to perform“, said the members of 84, who also performed their new singles “El verano que viene” and “Olas de calor”.

It was a night of premieres, reunions and shared emotions, reaffirming Starlite Occident 2024 as the world’s leading boutique festival, where every concert becomes an unforgettable experience.
