A spiritual and electrifying journey with the most legendary guitar in Latin rock
Carlos Santana made history at Starlite Occident 2025 with a sold-out concert that was much more than music: a ceremony of energy, spirituality and collective emotion. With his unmistakable guitar leading the way, the Mexican artist transformed the quarry into a temple of Latin rock, revisiting over five decades of his career as part of his Oneness Tour.

The evening opened with “Soul Sacrifice”, evoking memories of Woodstock, and continued with classics like “Jingo” and “Evil Ways”. Alongside him, Ray Greene and Andy Vargas added powerful vocals, while his wife, the brilliant drummer Cindy Blackman, dazzled with solos that had the audience on their feet. The magic peaked with “Black Magic Woman” and “Oye cómo va”, universal anthems that sparked unanimous ovations.
There were also intimate moments with “Maria Maria” and “Put Your Lights On”, as the audience lit up their phones, creating an improvised constellation under Marbella’s stars. With pieces like “Samba pa ti”, “Hope You’re Feeling Better” and a blazing version of “Corazón espinado”, Santana proved that at 78, he still sharpens every note as if it were his first.
Closing with “Smooth”, the night ended in unforgettable fashion, without the need for artifice or speeches: just a clear message of peace, compassion and music as a force for change. Santana did not just deliver a concert, he delivered a ceremony, reminding us that true music never ages.
Among the attendees were familiar faces such as Valeria Mazza and Luján Argüelles, who enjoyed this historic evening.
