UB40 conquer Starlite Occident 2025 with 45 years of reggae and timeless classics

A night of nostalgia, social awareness and collective joy in Marbella

Starlite Occident 2025 traveled to Birmingham without leaving Marbella with the concert of UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, celebrating 45 years of music with a show full of charisma, history and immortal reggae. The legendary British band revisited its extensive catalog before a multi-generational audience that sang and danced all night long.

Founded in 1979 in Birmingham, UB40 were pioneers in popularizing reggae in Europe, selling over 70 million records and bringing to global charts songs that blended love with social commentary. At Starlite Occident 2025, Ali Campbell, with his unmistakable voice, delivered a setlist where “Red Red Wine”, “Kingston Town” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” stood out, songs that continue to transcend generations.

Backed by a flawless band, Campbell proved why he remains a global icon of the genre. The audience responded with applause, dancing and ovations to each track, celebrating both classics and the new songs that keep the band’s legacy alive.

The evening was a tribute to reggae’s power to resist, to celebrate and to unite. Among the audience were familiar faces such as Valeria Mazza and Arantxa de Benito, who did not want to miss this historic night.

Starlite Occident 2025 reaffirms its status as the world’s leading boutique festival, blending international music, exclusivity and a one-of-a-kind experience under Marbella’s stars.
